New IST students were (and still are) expected to pass a Certification Test, and to submit their Certificate to the department.

 
It's the worst part of this job by far. I make all of my students take the Indiana University online plagiarism test at the beginning of each course, so at least they can't insult my intelligence by telling me, "I didn't know that was plagiarism."
